Snowflakes in Paris

Back in November I went to Paris for my PhD work, to talk with experts at the École des Ponts Paristech about multifractal properties of snow. We had a productive week and I came away with new understandings and new ideas.

This was only a few days after the terrible attacks, so security was high. Paris was calm and dignified, but there was a sadness that permeated the city.
