Contrasting views

I just flew back to Switzerland after an fantastic trip to visit home back in Australia. I caught up with my wonderful family and friends, saw parrots and bowerbirds, watched kangaroos and koalas, walked on the beach in winter, crushed a gum leaf to smell the eucalyptus, and marvelled at the wide blue sky. The trip back involved intensely contrasted views. As my flight pushed across the continent of Australia I was treated to a glimpse of Uluru in the red centre, and many hours later, still travelling, the snowy peaks of the European alps at dawn passed slowly below.

Uluru.

Uluru.
